We will be holding auditions for this year's Powell jazz band--anyone is welcome to audition if you play the correct instruments. The instruments we have in jazz band are all regular band instruments plus piano, bass, and drumset. The auditions will be after school next week on Wednesday and Thursday from 2:45-5:00pm (that's September 8^th & 9^th). Interested students can pick up the information packet and sign up for an audition in the band room, #323. If you have any questions, see Mr. Talley.

Yearbook is in need of photos from your summer vacation. Please submit digital images to Ms. Manculich in room 340 or via email at ymanculich@lps.k12.co.us. Be the first one to be in this year’s award winning publication, The Prowl.

Thursday golf club begins today at South Suburban par 3 course. Please meet Mr. Genson and Mr. Maness at 3:15 at the course.

Today is a PLC late start morning. School will begin at 9:54.

Attention all students: Tired of lugging that heavy backpack to and from school and then listening to your little brothers and sisters whine and complain while you are trying to get your homework done? Well then come to homework club every Wednesday in the Media Center after school. You can get your homework done, work on the computers and use all the resources the media center has to offer. For more information talk to Mrs. Toland, Mrs. Thurmond or Mrs. Brinkhuis and we’ll see you today after school.

All you 8^th graders out there, now is the time to act. The Washington DC trip will be here before you know it. If you are interested in attending there will be an informational meeting tonight @ 6:30 PM in the Cafeteria. Bring a parent and hear about this amazing trip. See you there.

Attention all 7^th graders. Your track and field season begins today after school. If you are interested in participating this year, please meet your coaches after school in the gym, dressed and ready to run!

Girls interested in playing basketball for the Arapahoe feeder teams this winter, please come to the information center in the office and get a flier. Tryouts are this Sunday at Arapahoe High School at 4:00 PM.
