Guidelines for Student Internet Use

We will be using the power of the Internet in order to further our learning this year. Littleton Public School District provides several guidelines for student use of the Internet. Click on the Guidlines link to read the official LPS stance on student Internet use taken directly from the LPS web site.

The specific guidelines for Powell students are:

Powell's Technology Policy pg. 45 Student/Parent Handbook 2004-2005

The computers at Powell Middle School are meant for education and school related use only. Students may use a computer with teacher or staff permission. Students are expected to follow these rules when using a computer at Powell.
1. Students must display their Powell student ID at all times while using a computer.
2. Students must have teacher or staff permission to use a scanner or color printer.
3.Do not download files.
4. Do not mistreat or change computer or other technological equipment set ups.
5. Do not play music or games.
6. Do not have food or drink at the computers at ANY time.
7. Do not email, chat, or blog. If a student needs to email a file to home, (s)he must seek teacher or staff permission first and then complete this process under the direct supervision of an adult.
