Dear Parents,
As you are aware, Ms. Sally Hancock, your child’s language arts teacher, will be on medical leave for at least the next 12 weeks. I know that you all wish her a successful recovery and send her your best thoughts and wishes.
While Ms. Hancock is absent, we are very lucky to have Ms. Sandi Boldman serving as Sally’s substitute. Ms.Boldman has been a language arts teacher in the Littleton Public Schools for many years and brings many skills to her role as a teacher at Powell. Ms. Boldman will fulfill all of the responsibilities of a classroom teacher, including determining grades and meeting with parents to discuss student progress. Transitions such as this one are difficult because we all know how well loved Ms. Hancock is and how well respected she is for her skills as a teacher. I assure you that Ms. Boldman brings a love of teaching and great expertise to this position at Powell. While Ms. Boldman may not do everything “the way Ms. Hancock did it…” she will provide the strategies and resources for educational success. Please welcome her to Powell.
